Nakasero Hospital is hiring an Accounts Officer – Cafeteria to support the cashiering and accounting functions of the hospital’s cafeteria. The role involves analyzing, reconciling, inspecting, and verifying accounts and financial information to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. This position is critical to maintaining the financial health of the cafeteria and supporting its contribution to the hospital’s overall mission.

How to Apply
Assist in the daily operations of the cafeteria’s cashiering and accounting unit.
Analyze financial transactions to ensure accuracy and adherence to hospital policies.
Reconcile accounts, including cash receipts, sales records, and expense reports.
Inspect and verify financial documents for completeness and compliance with internal controls.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for the cafeteria operations.
Support audits by providing relevant financial data and documentation.
Collaborate with the cafeteria team to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in accounting, cashiering, or financial management, preferably in a hospitality or service-oriented environment.
Skills and Competencies
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in analyzing and reconciling financial data with attention to detail.
Familiarity with cashiering systems and point-of-sale (POS) operations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with team members.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word).
High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
