Job Description
Reporting to the Kampala head office, the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for managing all accounting and financial coordination activities at the assigned upcountry station. Key responsibilities include managing petty cash, submitting financial and stock reports, overseeing routine stock counts, coordinating documentation for outgoing materials, and managing accountability processes for cash and inventory. The role also involves generating and submitting daily invoices, reconciling accounts payable, supporting the fulfillment and dispatch of coffee, and managing office documentation and stationery needs.

How to Apply
Manage and account for petty cash, and submit budgets and related reports
Audit and approve movements of products and materials within the business
Conduct and oversee routine stock counts and validate monthly stock reports
Submit daily and monthly reports related to production and inventory movement
Handle reconciliations for cash and inventory accountability
Coordinate documentation and payment for outgoing supplies
Manage company documentation and office stationery needs
Support dispatch and fulfillment of received coffee
Prepare and submit daily company invoices and weekly Accounts Payable (AP) lists
Follow up and reconcile items on the AP list
Reconcile shared expenses, staff payments, and other financial items
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
At least 2 years of experience in the accounts department of a Ugandan registered entity
Progress towards CPA or ACCA is an added advantage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of SUN ERP is a plus
Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and a positive attitude
