Job Description

The Accountant Trainee is an entry-level role designed for recent graduates who are eager to build a career in accounting and finance. The position provides practical, hands-on training in financial reporting, cost control, budgeting, and compliance. The Trainee will work under the guidance of senior accountants and finance managers to gain exposure to real-world accounting operations within a large manufacturing and logistics environment.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in recording daily financial transactions in accounting systems.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Help with bank reconciliations, cash management, and petty cash control.
  • Assist in processing invoices, payments, and expense claims.
  • Support inventory accounting and cost tracking.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and proper filing systems.
  • Assist with audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager or Senior Accountant.
