Job Description
TITLE: Accountant at FLIP Uganda
LOCATION: KAMPALA, UGANDA
ABOUT THIS JOB
Our client is seeking a detail oriented and motivated individual to join our certification team as an Accountant (2years). The ideal candidate will ensure financial integrity and accuracy across the organization by managing bookkeeping, reporting, and compliance.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Planning and Budgeting: Develop and manage budgets, forecast financial needs, and ensure efficient allocation of resources. Post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries for management.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability. Process accounts payable/receivable, reconcile ledgers and bank statements Support month-end and year-end closing processes Generate financial statements and reports (balance sheets, P&L)
Analyze financial data, identify variances, and suggest improvements Assist with tax filings and compliance to standards and regulations
Maintain precise financial records and documentation.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is a plus.
2-3 years of proven experience in accounting/finance
Proficient with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Express accounts) and Excel High attention to detail and organizational skills Female candidates are encouraged to apply
