Job Description
As the Account Manager (Renewals), you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding existing relationships with government clients. Your role includes serving as the main point of contact, ensuring client satisfaction, negotiating renewals, identifying growth opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions. The position requires strategic thinking, excellent communication, and a strong sales orientation to meet or exceed revenue and retention goals.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage and nurture relationships with government clients
Serve as the primary contact for client inquiries, service issues, and support
Identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts
Align client needs with LexisNexis products and services
Develop and execute account retention strategies
Meet and exceed growth and renewal targets
Negotiate contracts and renewal agreements
Provide insights into market trends and competitive activity
Collect client feedback to inform product development and service improvements
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
Experience:
3–5 years of experience in account management
Preferably experienced in the legal, government, or information services sector
Demonstrated ability to meet sales and retention targets
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
Customer-focused with the ability to understand complex solutions
Self-driven, goal-oriented, and collaborative
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
