Job Description
Job Title: Academic Registrar (1 Position)
EQUSaT is inviting applications from qualified, competent, and motivated individuals to fill the following positions. Applications must be submitted both electronically and in five hard copies, including an updated CV, academic credentials, employment records, and a national ID or passport. Three professional referees must also be provided with reachable email, phone, and WhatsApp contact information.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Receive, process, and submit student applications for admission to the Admissions Committee.
Ensure that admitted, registered, and graduating students meet minimum entry and academic requirements.
Oversee all matters related to student admission, registration, and graduation.
Maintain accurate academic records through ERP systems.
Coordinate processes involving transfers, exemptions, dead years, academic progress, and discontinuation.
Develop and distribute student handbooks, policies, and regulations.
Implement academic regulations and policies in line with University governance.
Promote timely and professional delivery of registrar services.
Collaborate with marketing for program promotion and student recruitment.
Organize academic ceremonies, including graduation.
Disseminate academic schedules, including teaching and examination timetables.
Monitor student academic progress and ensure safekeeping of records.
Verify academic completion requirements and issue academic documents.
Publish academic almanacs and catalogs.
Contribute to academic policy formulation and review.
Coordinate examination processes, marking, and result management.
Ensure proper functioning of Senate and Senate Committees.
Prepare academic-related documentation for Senate deliberations.
Implement Senate decisions related to academic affairs.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Minimum of three (3) years of working experience, with at least two (2) years in a managerial role at a reputable institution of higher learning.
Experience in curriculum development, teaching, research, publication, examination management, and student assessment.
Familiarity with academic ERP systems is required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to address academic and student needs effectively.
Demonstrated leadership and supervision experience in a university setting.
Must be industrious, self-driven, and able to work long hours.
A PhD qualification is an added advantage.
Proven ability to support student enrollment and recruitment of quality academic staff.
