Job Description
The Secretary of the Education Service Commission (ESC) wishes to inform the general public that the Commission has advertised multiple teaching and non-teaching positions in Seed Secondary Schools established under the Uganda Inter-Government Fiscal Transfer Program (UGIFT), managed by the Department of Government Secondary Education, Ministry of Education and Sports.

Overview of Positions
Each Seed Secondary School has been allocated one Headteacher, one Deputy Headteacher, twenty-three teaching staff, and six non-teaching staff.
School Administrators:
- Each school will have a Headteacher and a Deputy Headteacher, totaling 66 administrative positions across all Seed Secondary Schools.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Non-Teaching Staff:
Positions include:
- Senior Assistant Accountant,
- Stenographer/Secretary,
- Enrolled Nurse,
- Laboratory Assistant, and
- Library Assistant.
A total of 198 non-teaching positions are available, requiring qualifications ranging from certificates to diplomas.

- Applicants should apply for only one post in one school; submitting multiple applications will lead to disqualification.
- Those who applied under the previous Internal Advert 5/2025 or External Advert 3/2025 do not need to reapply unless they wish to change the school they previously applied for. In such cases, they must clearly indicate the previously applied school in the summary form.
- Applications should be prepared between 2nd and 8th February 2026, and submitted by hand to designated receiving centres for each cluster from Monday 9th to Friday 13th February 2026, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
- All qualified females and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
- All services provided by the Education Service Commission are free of charge.
