Job Description
Job Title: Heavy Duty Truck Driver – 6 Positions
Organisation: Multiplex Limited
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Job Summary:
Multiplex Limited is seeking six skilled and responsible Heavy Duty Truck Drivers to operate and manage the company’s heavy vehicles safely and efficiently. The successful candidates will ensure timely transportation of construction materials and equipment to project sites while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport construction materials, equipment, and supplies to and from project sites.
Ensure safe loading, securing, and offloading of cargo in line with company and safety guidelines.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections to check fuel, oil, tires, brakes, and overall mechanical condition.
Report any mechanical faults, damages, or maintenance needs to the transport supervisor promptly.
Drive in accordance with traffic regulations, road safety rules, and company driving standards.
Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation.
Keep the truck clean, well-maintained, and in good working order at all times.
Follow assigned delivery schedules and ensure timely transportation of materials.
Assist in routine servicing and minor repairs where necessary.
Support general site operations when required and comply with all health and safety procedures.
