Job Description
POSITION: Transport Officer (3 Positions)
INDUSTRY: Hospitality
LOCATION: Kampala
HR World Ltd, on behalf of our esteemed client in the hospitality sector, is seeking to recruit three (3) Transport Officers. These individuals will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all transport operations to ensure safe, efficient, and timely logistics support in alignment with high hospitality service standards.

How to Apply
Plan and coordinate daily transport schedules, including vehicle assignment and route optimization, to support operational needs.
Ensure timely and reliable transportation of staff, guests, and goods across various locations.
Supervise a team of drivers, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and professional conduct standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on vehicle usage, maintenance schedules, fuel consumption, and overall transport-related expenses.
Oversee routine vehicle maintenance and inspections to guarantee roadworthiness and compliance with legal and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the operations team to fulfill transportation needs during peak periods and events.
Monitor transport budgets, analyze cost drivers, and propose cost-saving strategies.
Respond swiftly to transport-related incidents or emergencies and ensure timely resolution and reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in Transport Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
3–5 years of hands-on experience in transport operations, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Strong organizational and planning abilities.
Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team of drivers.
Familiarity with fleet management systems is an added advantage.
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
Possession of a valid driver’s license is an added advantage.
