Education Coach (22 Positions)
Location: Isingiro, Uganda

Reports to: Education Coordinator
Role Summary
As an Education Coach, you will mentor and support teachers through group-based workshops and in-school sessions. Your focus will be on enhancing teacher well-being and developing their social and emotional competencies to create safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environments.
This position is part of an effectiveness study evaluating the impact of the CORE intervention. You will ensure that all activities are implemented as planned and that outcomes and learnings are thoroughly documented.

How to Apply
Participate in up to one month of training (including residential sessions) during the contract period.
Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with teachers and school leadership.
Implement the CORE intervention in line with training manuals and facilitator guidelines.
Collect and submit data such as reflection diaries, fidelity checklists, and workshop documentation.
Support data collection activities including focus group discussions and training reflections as required by the coordinator.
Strengthen teachers’ knowledge and skills in well-being, social-emotional learning, stress management, and self-care.
Assist with research-related tasks during school holidays, including activity development and methodology adaptation.
Coordinate with teachers and headteachers to plan timetables, reflection sessions, and whole-school learning events.
Conduct process observations and facilitate reflection sessions with teachers.
Ensure timely, accurate, and systematic documentation of all activities and findings.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in the education sector and/or in coaching and mentoring roles.
At least 1 year of facilitation experience (group and one-on-one training).
Familiarity with diverse instructional methods and teaching approaches.
Experience working in rural or refugee settings is an added advantage.
