JCRC invites applications from well-qualified and experienced individuals to fill the following position:
Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Department: Finance
Number of Positions: 2
Reports to: Senior Accountant
Duty Station: Lubowa – JCRC Headquarters
Direct Supervision: None
Job Summary
The Accounts Assistant is responsible for preparing supplier invoices in the accounting system and ensuring accurate and updated supplier records. The role includes coordinating the payment process, initiating bank payments, and handling all related documentation.

How to Apply
Review and post invoices into NAVISION and submit them for further review.
Code and initiate payment vouchers in NAVISION.
Reconcile vendor accounts in collaboration with the Senior Accountant and the Purchasing Department.
Allocate fuel bills and other shared costs across various projects.
Prepare bank reconciliations and forward them for review.
Review new asset purchases and ensure corresponding asset cards are fully updated.
Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of progressive and professional accounting experience.
Knowledge of accounting software packages.
Enrollment in CPA (U) or ACCA.
Required Competencies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team.
Proficiency in Excel is an added advantage.
Experience with ERP systems is an added advantage.
Completion of at least Level 2 of a professional Accounting course is an added advantage.
