Job Description
The IT Support Officer will play a vital role in maintaining the IT systems and providing prompt support to users across the organization. The position involves diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, managing network and system configurations, and ensuring data security and backup procedures.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Provide technical support to users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Install, configure, and maintain IT systems and infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and network equipment.
Monitor network performance and maintain network security protocols.
Conduct routine maintenance, updates, and backups to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
Diagnose and resolve system errors, connectivity issues, and software malfunctions.
Maintain an inventory of IT assets and manage hardware and software installations.
Provide support in implementing IT policies and procedures in line with company standards.
Train staff on basic IT practices and usage of company systems and applications.
Maintain accurate documentation of IT support activities and resolutions.
Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to maintain and upgrade IT systems.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.
At least three (3) years of experience in IT support, network administration, or a similar role.
Proficiency in IT systems, networking, and troubleshooting techniques.
Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as IT hardware and software maintenance.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to service excellence.
Certification in IT-related fields (e.g., CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA) is an added advantage.
