Job Description
The Enrolled Nurse will deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients, including administering medications, monitoring patient progress, and maintaining accurate medical records. The nurse will also participate in health education activities and community outreach programs.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by medical officers.
Monitor and record patients' vital signs and medical history.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Participate in health education and sensitization activities.
Assist in conducting medical assessments and diagnosis.
Follow up on patient care plans and ensure adherence to treatment regimens.
Maintain hygiene and infection control practices.
Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
Participate in community health outreach and health promotion programs.
Report any unusual occurrences or conditions to the supervisor.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A Certificate in Enrolled Nursing from a recognized institution.
Registration with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
A valid annual practicing license.
At least one year of experience in a recognized healthcare setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients.
Ability to work under minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Knowledge of infection prevention and control measures.
