Job Description
The Enrolled Midwife will deliver professional midwifery care in healthcare facilities, ensuring safe delivery practices and postpartum care. This includes conducting antenatal and postnatal assessments, assisting during childbirth, educating mothers on breastfeeding and infant care, and maintaining accurate patient records. The role requires adherence to medical standards and protocols while fostering a supportive and compassionate environment for mothers and their families.

How to Apply
Conduct antenatal care services and monitor maternal health.
Assist mothers during labor and delivery, ensuring safe childbirth practices.
Provide postnatal care and educate mothers on infant feeding and care.
Administer prescribed medications and interventions to mothers and newborns.
Monitor the health status of mothers and newborns and report any complications.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Educate mothers and families on reproductive health and family planning.
Participate in community health outreach and sensitization programs.
Uphold hygiene and infection control practices.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure holistic care.
Certificate in Enrolled Midwifery from a recognized institution.
Registration with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
A valid annual practicing license.
At least one year of practical experience in a healthcare setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered approach.
Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment.
Knowledge of maternal and child health care practices.
