Job Description
The successful candidate will operate Institute vehicles to transport staff, guests, or equipment as assigned, maintain logs of vehicle usage, perform daily vehicle checks, and ensure the vehicles are in roadworthy condition. The Driver is expected to adhere to traffic regulations and maintain high levels of professionalism and punctuality.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Drive staff and visitors to designated locations safely
Ensure vehicle cleanliness and maintenance
Conduct daily checks on fuel, oil, water, and tires
Maintain a vehicle logbook and submit reports
Ensure valid driving documents are always up to date
Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or equivalent
Valid driving permit with at least Class CM & DL
Minimum of 3 years of driving experience
Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Defensive driving skills and basic vehicle mechanics are an added advantage
