Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) is the apex body for the private sector in Uganda, established in 1995 to drive sustainable economic growth and national development by advocating for an enabling business environment and facilitating private sector competitiveness. With a reputation for being a credible and influential voice for the private sector, PSFU works closely with government, development partners, and civil society to shape policies that foster enterprise growth and investment. The organization promotes a professional, collaborative, and inclusive work culture, offering employees opportunities to contribute to impactful national programs and benefit from continuous capacity-building.
Over the years, PSFU has evolved into a key player in Uganda’s economic transformation, managing large-scale donor-funded projects, including the Mastercard Foundation Young Africa Works initiative, aimed at creating millions of dignified jobs for youth and women. Through innovative models such as business incubation, value chain development, and digital skills training, PSFU supports over 300 business associations, corporate bodies, and SMEs, extending its reach across Uganda. The foundation is guided by core values of integrity, professionalism, teamwork, and service excellence, and it integrates corporate social responsibility by empowering youth, women, and marginalized groups through entrepreneurship, skills development, and inclusive economic programs.
