Job Description
Job Title: Bookkeeper (4 Positions)
Organisation: Private Accounting Firm
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Monthly Salary: 600,000 to 900,000 Gross pay
Working hours: 8am to 5pm; Mon to Fri
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all financial transactions and maintaining accurate records for various clients. This position requires accuracy and strong attention to details.
Duties and Responsibilities
Accurately record all income, expenses, and financial activities using accounting software.
Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger by reconciling accounts and correcting discrepancies.
Preparing Financial Statements: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Track invoices and bills to reconcile accounts Payable and account receivable
Reconcile bank statements with internal records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Other tasks that may be assigned by supervisor

Qualifications and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting or finance
At most 1 year of working experience in the field of accounting/ finance
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a plus
Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting is a plus
