URA Releases Shortlist for Administrative Officer, Fleet Assistant & Office Assistant Roles — Interviews to Follow

The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has officially released the shortlist of successful candidates for the externally advertised positions of Administrative Officer, Fleet Assistant and Office Assistant, marking a critical milestone in the ongoing recruitment process.
In an official notice, URA stated that the shortlist relates to the external recruitment exercise aimed at filling vacant positions within the Authority and that the names of candidates who met all the essential requirements have now been published on the official URA website.

What URA Communicated to Applicants
According to the Authority, all applicants who successfully met the essential requirements for the respective positions have been shortlisted and their names made publicly available through URA’s official online platforms.
URA further explained that the next steps in the recruitment process, including interview arrangements, will be communicated directly to successful candidates via their personal email addresses. The communication will strictly come from URA’s official recruitment email address:recruitment@ura.go.ug
The Authority emphasized that applicants should regularly check their emails and ensure they respond in line with the instructions provided, as interview schedules and further assessments will be conducted based on the communicated timelines.
Message to Unsuccessful Applicants
URA clarified that applicants whose names do not appear on the published shortlist did not meet the essential requirements for the positions applied for. However, the Authority extended its appreciation to all candidates who expressed interest in joining URA and encouraged them to apply for future opportunities as they arise.
Deadline for Inquiries
In the same communication, URA informed the public that any general inquiries regarding the shortlist or recruitment process must be submitted no later than 2nd January 2026. All inquiries should be directed to the official recruitment email address: recruitment@ura.go.ug

URA issued a strong warning to the public to remain vigilant against fraudsters, clearly stating that the Authority does not charge any money at any stage of the recruitment process.
