UPDF Recruitment 2025 – Important Update on Application Process
The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) has announced a critical update regarding the UPDF Recruitment 2025 following technical difficulties experienced by some applicants on the online recruitment platform. In a press release dated 09 July 2025, the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs confirmed that an alternative application process has been introduced to ensure no eligible candidate is left behind.
Why the UPDF Recruitment 2025 Application Method Was Changed
Due to unforeseen technical glitches on the online UPDF recruitment portal, many aspiring candidates were unable to complete their applications. In response, the UPDF has opened an alternative submission channel via email, allowing candidates to apply manually through a structured Excel format.

Fill out an Excel form containing the following information:
Full Names
National Identification Number (NIN)
Education level/combination
Date of Birth
District, County/S. County, Parish, and Village
Attach the following documents:
National ID (soft copy)
Passport-size photograph
Academic documents (soft copies)
Submit all information to the official email address: recruitment@updf.go.ug
Deadline for submission is 15 July 2025.
