The Uganda Case Research Collaboration (CWRU) is looking to expand its team by recruiting Data Entry Assistants who will play a critical role in maintaining data accuracy and integrity for ongoing sponsored clinical trials.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with strong data entry skills, clinical trial experience, and a passion for precision to contribute to vital research projects.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
As a Data Entry Assistant at CWRU, your responsibilities will include:
Accurate data entry and quality checks on Case Report Forms (CRFs)
Responding promptly to queries from the trial’s data coordination center
Performing source data verification when required
Submitting routine and ad hoc progress reports to the data team head and study coordinator
Executing additional tasks as assigned by the lead supervisors or project coordinators
Required Qualifications and Competencies
Candidates must possess:
A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, Data Management, or a related field
Current certification in Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and Human Subjects Protection (HSP)
Advanced computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office
Hands-on experience with web-based Electronic Data Capture (EDC) tools such as Red Cap, Open Clinica, or Clinical Ink
Excellent keyboarding speed (minimum 45-50 words per minute) and low error rate (<1%)
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team setting
Experience Requirements
Applicants must have at least two years of experience in both online and offline data entry, preferably in biomedical research or clinical trial environments.
