About JCRC and the USAID Project

The Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC) is implementing a five-year USAID-funded project dedicated to strengthening district-based HIV/AIDS and TB services. With coverage in over 16 districts and one city, the project supports integrated care across Kigezi, Lango, Ankole, and Acholi regions.

Location of Work

Successful candidates will be deployed across health facilities in the Ankole Region, including districts such as Buhweju, Bushenyi, Ibanda, Isingiro, Kazo, Kiruhura, Mbarara, Mitooma, Ntungamo, Rubirizi, and Rwampara.



Duties and Responsibilities of JCRC Data Clerks

As a Data Clerk, you’ll play a vital role in managing healthcare data systems and supporting health service delivery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Updating Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems with patient data

  • Generating timely and accurate reports for MoH and PEPFAR

  • Ensuring data security, accuracy, and confidentiality

  • Supporting health workers with EMR tools and databases

  • Participating in quality improvement (QI) activities and audits

  • Organizing and storing both digital and hardcopy data in line with regulations



Qualifications for JCRC Data Clerk Jobs

To qualify for this exciting opportunity, applicants must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Demography, or related fields

  • Experience with MoH/PEPFAR data systems

  • Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

  • Excellent communication skills

  • High attention to detail and commitment to data quality
