UBOS extends deadline for census enumerator job applications

The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has announced an extension of the deadline for individuals interested in applying for census enumerator positions. Originally set to close on March 15th, 2024, the deadline for applications has now been extended to March 22nd , 2024. This extension provides prospective candidates with extra time to submit their applications, thereby accommodating those who may have encountered challenges or delays in completing the process.

The census enumerator positions play a crucial role in the successful execution of the national census, which is scheduled to take place later this year. Enumerators are tasked with collecting accurate and reliable data from households and communities across the country, contributing to the compilation of comprehensive demographic information essential for informed decision-making and policy formulation.

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must possess an “A” level certificate or its equivalent, and possess a credit in English and Mathematics at “O” level. Be fluent in the local languages of their enumeration areas, and have basic computer application knowledge.

Additionally, having a valid National Identity Card issued by the National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) is a requirement.
