Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Welding Inspector with a valid CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector Certificate to support our ongoing oil and gas projects in Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing welding operations, ensuring strict compliance with international codes and quality standards.

How to Apply
Manage identification and traceability of tank plates and perform material inspections.
Prepare Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Method Statements (MS), Procedures, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
Conduct Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) and Welder Qualification Tests (WQT).
Monitor and control welding consumables.
Inspect fit-ups and monitor welding activities for compliance and quality.
Perform dimensional inspections including peaking, banding, roundness, and plumbness checks.
Coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities with subcontractors (RT, PT, MT, UT, VBT).
Generate and maintain project quality documentation such as RFIs, QCRs, welding logs, etc.
Supervise welding works throughout all stages – pre-weld, during welding, and post-weld.
Support hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing of reinforcement pads, and settlement checks.
Assist with surface preparation, painting, blasting, and insulation activities during later phases.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector Certification (Mandatory).
8–10 years of QA/QC experience in the oil and gas industry.
Familiarity with API 650, ASME Section IX, and SMAW welding processes.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar welding inspection roles on comparable projects.
Proficient in English with strong technical writing and documentation skills.
