Job Title: UI/UX Designer
Organisation: Pinnacle Partners
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer to help transform our software into engaging, intuitive, and user-centric products. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to craft compelling user experiences that align with our vision and customer needs.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and evaluate user requirements
Design user interface elements such as menus, tabs, widgets, and page navigation
Develop wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and prototypes
Create intuitive, visually appealing, and responsive designs for web and mobile platforms
Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze feedback to refine UX
Present and communicate design concepts to internal teams and stakeholders
Ensure consistency with design standards, branding guidelines, and accessibility requirements
Stay current with UI/UX trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or in a similar role
Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX design work across digital platforms
Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar
Solid understanding of wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design
Familiarity with HTML/CSS (JavaScript is a plus)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong problem-solving and time-management abilities
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
Preferred Skills & Qualities:
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Knowledge of information architecture and responsive design principles
Ability to balance aesthetics with functionality and usability
Analytical mindset with user-first thinking
Comfortable taking feedback and iterating quickly
