In the past 30 years of its existence,STF has grown considerably into an advocacy and health communication organization, serving various categories of young people. To date, STF has designed programs to respond to specific populations needs for health and development. Current STF programs focus on sexual and reproductive health, education, gender, prevention of violence against women and girls, climate change, agriculture, youth livelihoods, and youth-friendly service delivery. STF has also grown its focus on education through the support and management of bursary programs targeting bright but disadvantageous young people in hard-to-reach communities.
STF has had direct contact with over 14,450 primary schools.and 3,000 secondary schools, thriving relationships with over 2,000 civil society organizations
reaching over 10,000,000 young people annually. STF distributes it's materials to over 1,000 Schools, 1870 Health Centers, 1040 Churches and Mosques, 500 CBOs and NGOs
STF has physical locations in Kampala (Central) and has regional offices located in Moroto, (Northeast), Kitgum and Gulu (Northern) where it has ongoing programs and operations.

Job Title: Transport Officer
Organisation: Straight Talk Foundation (STF)
Duty Station: Moroto, Uganda
Under the supervision of the Procurement &Logistics officer, the Transport Officer will be responsible for transportation of staff to different duty destinations and maintenance of the project vehicle. Create and maintain a clear vehicle log sheet, ensure vehicle maintenance tracker and timely submission of fuel accountabilities

How to Apply
Up-date the log book of the assigned vehicle with right mileage, fuel and oil/ spare parts used.
Prepare fuel accountabilities and maintain a tracker on mechanical faults.
Carry out routine checks and prepare appropriate service schedules for the assigned vehicle.
Transport staff to various duty destinations.
Ensure safe delivery of project documents/ supplies in transit.
Check and verify all service and repair undertaken on the assigned project vehicle and give feedback to the procurement and Logistics officer.
Any other tasks as advised by your supervisor.
The applicant should possess a S.4 Leavers Certificate or Diploma
Minimum of 3 years driving project vehicles.
Excellent communication skills
Awareness of good practices in relation to child safeguarding and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse.
Possession of a valid permit of Classes; A, B, E, CM, CH, DL, DM, DH.
Knowledge of defensive driving, Basic automotive maintenance, first aid and different routes around the country are added advantage.
