Job Description
The Economic Policy Research Centre is seeking a Transport Officer (Driver) to manage and execute operational and preventive maintenance of the Centre's vehicles in line with national traffic regulations. The role involves providing safe transportation for staff and authorized persons while performing essential administrative tasks. Candidates will be responsible for vehicle upkeep, log maintenance, and general support activities.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide safe, punctual transportation for staff and authorized persons, and execute errands promptly.
- Maintain daily vehicle log sheets, track mileage and fuel, and submit monthly monitoring reports.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks (tyres, oil, water, brakes) and ensure vehicle security/cleanliness.
- Strictly observe the road traffic laws of the Republic of Uganda.
- Provide general administrative support, including handling mail, filing, photocopying, and event setup.
