Job Description
The Tiler is responsible for laying and fitting tiles on floors, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces in residential, commercial, or industrial projects. The role involves preparing surfaces, cutting and installing tiles accurately, and ensuring high-quality finishing in line with project specifications.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives where necessary
- Cut and shape tiles using hand or power tools
- Lay tiles accurately according to design patterns and specifications
- Apply grout and ensure proper finishing of tiled surfaces
- Repair or replace damaged tiles when required
- Ensure work is completed within project timelines and quality standards
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
- Follow workplace safety procedures and use protective equipment
- Coordinate with supervisors and other construction workers on-site
