Job Description
Vacancy Title: Technical Service Advisor
Hiring Organization: NFT CONSULT
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Our client, a licensed electricity distributor in the Energy Sector, is looking for a qualified and results-driven individual to fill the position of Technical Service Advisor.
The company is responsible for distributing and supplying electricity to customers, maintaining and upgrading distribution infrastructure, retailing electricity, and offering related services. The sector is regulated by the Electricity Regulatory Authority, which oversees standards and consumer tariffs.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Provide technical support in operating equipment and setting parameters.
Collect, collate, and process data using available IT systems.
Maintain and manage the company's data archive, including backup procedures, archive database upkeep, and physical media storage and retrieval.
Review vendor and inventory documentation to ensure compliance.
Perform assigned data entry tasks and prepare periodic reports.
Execute any other duties assigned, relevant to the position.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A Diploma in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic database systems; experience with electrical equipment is essential.
Self-motivated and strategic thinker with a proven track record of achieving goals.
Able to work efficiently under strict supervision and manage high-pressure situations.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
