Job Description

The Team Leader – Sales will report to the Head of Global Financial Markets and will be responsible for implementing the overall sales strategy for the bank’s global financial markets. The role involves managing an active portfolio of high-end clients, selling financial market products and services, collaborating with business units to expand the client base, and increasing wallet share in a profitable and sustainable manner.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Achieve the bank’s Foreign Exchange (FX) budget by implementing FX sales and marketing strategies, setting individual targets, and monitoring performance daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Conduct training sessions to improve awareness and understanding of financial markets products and enhance sales performance.
  • Execute the financial markets product sales plan in alignment with the bank’s strategic objectives, focusing on large export and import trade flows.
  • Manage, support, and develop the Financial Markets sales team to achieve optimal performance.
  • Ensure sales teams maintain a “work in progress” pipeline and prioritize client engagement, including both new and existing clients.
  • Provide high-level service and advisory to clients, coordinating visits and engagements with relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement local marketing campaigns.
  • Contribute to product development by providing feedback on client preferences and suggesting improvements for product packaging and retailing.
  • Ensure proper conduct and professional behavior among sales staff, enforcing disciplinary measures when necessary.
  • Adhere to prescribed procedures and the ACI code of conduct for dealing activities.
  • Stay updated on global economic and political developments, and distribute relevant economic news internally.
