Team Lead – Reporting & Balance Sheet Management
Job Purpose
This leadership role is central to the bank’s financial strategy and performance. The position is responsible for managing the bank’s balance sheet, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic financial planning. Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership, you will play a critical role in optimizing the bank’s financial health and driving key initiatives.

How to Apply
Strategic Financial Management: Develop and implement strategies for optimal balance sheet management, capital efficiency, and effective tax planning.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present timely, accurate financial reports to senior management. Provide data-driven insights to support business decision-making and performance tracking.
Regulatory & Statutory Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely submission of reports to regulatory bodies including Bank of Uganda (BOU), URA, NSSF, and others.
Tax Compliance: Oversee compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, including transfer pricing, withholding tax, and product-level tax assessments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Risk, and Treasury teams to enhance financial controls and drive process improvements.
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or a related discipline.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is mandatory.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in banking, with at least 3–4 years in a core Finance function.
Proven track record in financial reporting and balance sheet management.
Skills & Competencies:
In-depth understanding of banking operations, credit products, and regulatory frameworks.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
Effective leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to lead change and solve complex financial issues.
