System Administration

• Manage Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL) and Windows Server environments.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NTP, Group Policy, PKI.
• Maintain virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox.
• Operate storage systems: NAS, SAN, RAID, iSCSI, Ceph, ZFS.
• Execute OS patching, security hardening, and configuration management.
• Monitor system health, performance, capacity, and resource utilization.
• Manage server backups, snapshots, replication, and DR failover testing.
• Conduct log reviews, root-cause analysis, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain technical documentation, server inventories, SOPs, and diagrams.

Networking

• Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 switching and routing.
• Operate enterprise-grade networking devices: Cisco, MikroTik, Juniper, Fortinet.
• Implement VLANs, trunking, routing protocols, and static routes.
• Manage VPNs, IPSec tunnels, remote access solutions, and site-to-site connectivity.
• Administer ACLs, NAT, segmentation policies, and IP addressing standards.
• Monitor network flows, bandwidth utilization, and performance baselines.
• Maintain HA technologies such as HSRP, VRRP, link redundancy, and ECMP.
• Support load balancers, reverse proxies, and application delivery paths.
• Maintain updated network diagrams, topology maps, and configuration repositories.

Operational Support

• Respond to server, network, and infrastructure incidents with urgency.
• Lead root-cause investigations for outages and recurring issues.
• Manage hardware lifecycle: servers, switches, firewalls, racks, cabling.
• Track configuration changes and maintain change-control records.
• Support audits, compliance checks, license management, and asset tracking.
• Work with security teams on vulnerability remediation and hardening tasks.

Security Responsibilities

• Apply OS and network hardening standards based on industry best practices.
• Operate firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, VPN gateways, and logging systems.
• Review system and network logs for anomalies or suspicious activity.
• Enforce access control, MFA, least-privilege principles, and password policies.
• Support patch management, vulnerability assessments, and compliance reporting.

Collaboration

• Coordinate with developers, operations teams, and project leads to meet system requirements.
• Communicate incident updates, planned maintenance, and technical changes clearly.
• Produce accurate documentation for processes, configurations, and project work.
