Job Description
The Manager will oversee the design and implementation of surveillance, monitoring, and evaluation frameworks. Responsibilities include conducting qualitative research, leading data analysis and visualization, managing partnerships with government and technical partners, providing financial oversight, and ensuring effective project delivery. The role demands technical expertise in public health research, familiarity with statistical tools like STATA and R, and excellent communication skills for presenting technical content.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead surveillance, monitoring, and evaluation activities for malaria control and elimination programs.
Conduct desk and literature reviews and present health data in a clear and concise manner.
Manage ongoing data analysis, including key indicators and visualization tools.
Conduct qualitative research, including key informant interviews.
Coordinate with national stakeholders, such as the Ministry of Health and technical partners.
Provide financial oversight and budget management for assigned projects.
Work with international and multi-partnership arrangements within an NGO context.
Manage research and surveillance projects effectively.
Produce high-quality project outputs and reports.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Statistics, International Development, Health Informatics, or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience as a senior project manager in public health research projects.
Experience conducting desk and literature reviews and summarizing health data.
Extensive experience in data analysis, including visualization tools and indicators for malaria programs.
Experience with key informant interviews and qualitative research.
Familiarity with national-level health systems management and stakeholder coordination.
Strong analytical skills in monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects.
Budget management experience, with financial oversight expertise.
Familiarity with statistical software such as STATA and R.
Demonstrated skills in effective verbal and written communication of technical content.
