Job Description
Reporting to the Assistant Storekeeper or nominee, the Stores Issuer will be responsible for receiving, binning, issuing, and managing stock items while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires attention to detail, accurate system updates, and adherence to housekeeping standards within stores. It involves daily stock checks, proper handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials, and collaboration with other departments to meet operational needs.

How to Apply
Perform daily checking and control of physical stock.
Issue materials using proper documentation, update systems, and file binning/picking slips.
Conduct daily stock control, cycle counts, and assist with stock-taking.
Raise requisitions for items at low stock levels.
Receive and safely store hazardous and non-hazardous materials according to SHERQ requirements.
Manage and control the storage of gas cylinders, paints, hydrochloric acid, arsenic, and other sensitive materials as per regulations.
Ensure Mining and TMM stores are locked and comply with key control measures.
Maintain excellent housekeeping, stacking, and storage conditions in stores areas.
Assist in ensuring stores operations meet safety, operational, and production requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate.
Experience:
At least 1 year exposure to materials handling in a Mining or Plant environment.
Competencies:
Knowledge of materials handling and stock control.
Understanding of SHERQ standards for hazardous materials.
Accuracy, attention to detail, and record-keeping skills.
Good organisational, time management, and housekeeping skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet operational timelines.
