Job Description
The Stock Controller will be responsible for the accurate receipt, capture, and control of all stock delivered to the store. Duties include reconciling invoices against deliveries, capturing goods into the system, managing returns, and ensuring storeroom organization. The role involves identifying discrepancies, managing high-risk stock, and adhering to SOPs for returns and credit notes. The Stock Controller will also assist with operational requirements in other departments as needed. This position is physically demanding and requires manual handling of heavy boxes and pallets.

How to Apply
Receive goods accurately by reconciling deliveries with invoices.
Capture invoices for goods received into the system promptly and correctly.
Verify that goods delivered match invoices in terms of quantities, variants, and condition.
Process returns to suppliers in line with company SOPs.
Maintain storerooms in an orderly and acceptable condition.
Assist in controlling high-risk stock.
Report discrepancies to management.
Return unordered or damaged goods and process credit notes in compliance with SOPs.
Assist with lifting and offloading heavy stock and pallets.
Provide support to other store departments as operationally required.
Education
Grade 12 (Matric) (essential).
Experience
Minimum 1 year’s experience in a retail/FMCG operations environment in a similar role (essential).
Skills & Knowledge
Strong knowledge of stock management principles and retail/FMCG operations.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Office 365.
SAP system knowledge (advantageous).
High attention to detail and strong numeracy skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Physical ability to handle labour-intensive tasks.
