Job Description
The Stock Controller is responsible for stock control and inventory management in compliance with the inventory management processes and procedures.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies
- Collaborate with the Commercial team (Fertilizer] to understand product movement and ensure stock levels align with anticipated sales volumes for Fertilizer
- Implement and maintain efficient inventory control procedures, including stock rotation, stock returns from the hubs, first-in-first-out (FIFO] principles, and proper storage practices
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with inventory management policies and procedures
- Work closely with the production team to oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods
- Monitor and track slow-moving or obsolete stock and propose appropriate actions to prevent financial losses
- Generate accurate reports on stock levels, stock movements, and dispatches
- Continuously improve inventory management processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize stock availability
