Job Description
The Animal Nutrition Sales Representative is responsible for the sale of animal feed products and providing during and after-sales animal nutrition technical advice and support to the customers. The jobholder is also required to build a sustainable customer base by developing and executing a route-to-market sales strategy designed to increase market share and create brand awareness in the designated territory.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers through farm visits and training, and recommend solutions that will be profitable to both the customer and the company
- Deliver weekly sales performance reports to the Head of Department against expected targets and key performance indicators
- Establish and effect a clear product sales plan hinged on demand creation and continuous volume growth
- Uphold diligent credit management practices by performing thorough credit-worthiness analysis and regular follow-up on receivables
- Assist the Head of Grain and Animal Nutrition in measuring supplier performance on key performance indicators
- Understand and keep up to date on local feed regulations and changes
- Develop effective customer feeding programs to aid healthy animal performance
- Any other duties may be assigned from time to time
