Job Description
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent stock-outs and overstocking
- Raise purchase requisitions, receive supplies, and coordinate stock transfers
- Verify deliveries for quantity, quality, completeness, and expiry, and prepare Goods Received Notes (GRNs)
- Organise and store inventory using FIFO and FEFO principles
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update all stock transactions in the system
- Conduct routine stock counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies
- Ensure timely and accurate issuance and billing of stock items to patients
- Monitor expiry dates and process returns of discontinued or expired stock with proper documentation
- Prepare inventory reports and ensure compliance with hospital policies and audit requirements
