Job Description
Job Title: Sound Technician
Organisation: World Trumpet Mission (WTM)
Duty Station: Seguku, Wakiso, Uganda
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Set up and operate audio equipment for recording and live productions. Mix and edit sound for optimal clarity and quality.
Troubleshoot sound issues and ensure seamless audio-visual synchronization.
Maintain and upgrade sound equipment as needed.
Work closely with the production team to achieve the desired audio output.
Ensure compliance with sound regulations and technical standards.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Design, or a related field.
Certification in sound mixing and production software is an added advantage.
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in sound engineering or live audio production.
Experience with mixing consoles, microphones, and digital sound processing tools.
Competencies:
Ministry & Leadership Competencies
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work in high-pressure environments.
Business & Operational Competencies
Proficiency in audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Pro Tools).
Strong understanding of acoustics and sound equipment.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
