How to Apply
Install, commission, and maintain solar PV systems including panels, inverters, charge controllers, and batteries.
Perform electrical wiring and conduit installations for DC and AC circuits.
Diagnose and resolve faults in solar systems, including grounding and surge protection issues.
Ensure compliance with Uganda’s electrical codes, safety standards, and internal installation guidelines.
Conduct site assessments and recommend suitable technical solutions.
Collaborate with engineers and field technicians for efficient project execution.
Test and validate system performance using tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and PV analyzers.
Keep detailed records of installations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and fall protection equipment.
Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline (required).
Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in solar PV system installation and electrical maintenance.
In-depth knowledge of grid-tied, off-grid, and hybrid solar systems.
Skilled in electrical wiring, fault diagnosis, and interpretation of solar system schematics.
Familiarity with solar mounting systems, earthing, and electrical safety measures.
Willingness to travel to remote project sites across Uganda.
