Job Description
As a Level III Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be a core member of a cross-functional development team responsible for the full software development lifecycle—from concept to deployment and beyond. You will create and maintain both frontend and backend components of web applications, with a focus on business banking services.
The successful candidate will work on backend services that integrate with core credit platforms as well as frontend applications used in Capitec's business banking app. You will ensure high reliability, scalability, and optimal user experience while contributing to architectural decisions and guiding less experienced developers.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack web applications
Develop backend services and frontend interfaces for business banking
Ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability of systems
Work in cross-functional agile teams alongside developers, analysts, and product owners
Contribute to architectural and technical discussions
Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering problems
Guide and support team members on technical best practices
Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them as needed

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualification:
Grade 12 National Certificate
Preferred Qualification:
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology
Experience Required:
6+ years’ experience in full stack software development
Proven experience with modern development frameworks and tools
Technical Skills (Required):
C#
.NET Core
JavaScript
AWS
Kubernetes
Docker
EKS
Technical Skills (Advantageous):
Java or Python
React or React Native
