Job Description
The National Consultant will represent UNICEF in meetings and workshops while working with experts to support data and statistics related work at the national statistical office. The role focuses on providing technical and coordination support for the Violence Against Children and Women (VACW) survey implementation and methodology.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide technical and coordination support to national VACWS,
- Support the national statistical office in sharpening the methodology, tools, and guidelines to partners/stakeholders related to the VACW survey,
- Finalise, in collaboration with national partners and UNICEF CO, the VACW Survey Plan and Budget,
- Ensure that the Ethical Protocols and other ethical recommendations are addressed in the survey implementation processes,
- Ensure that technical reviews by experts are carried out at key survey stages and coordinate the feedback and response from among key survey stakeholders and UBOS,
- Ensure that all survey-related documents and deliverables are properly archived throughout the VACW survey process
- Participate in all Steering and Technical Committee meetings of the VACW survey
- Document lessons learned, challenges, and good practices throughout the VACWS process to inform future execution of similar surveys
