Job Description

The shop supervisor is responsible for selling and marketing all the company products, as well as creating a positive image of the company to the public. The position holder will manage the branch business and operational areas under the rules, regulations and guidelines of BPIL while ensuring the accomplishment of goals and targets given by Management.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Management of the Chicks and Feeds.
  • Ensure timely booking of Chicks and Feeds.
  • Issuing Chicks and Feeds to customers.
  • Coordinate offloading Chicks and Feeds and reconciling deliveries.
  • Order Feeds from the Feed mill and other products on time.
  • Control and manage stock as prescribed by the Company’s SOPs.
  • Always ensure a clean and tidy environment at the branch.
  • Management of Payments at the branch
  • Ensuring timely payments are made in advance and as per company policy for Chicks and Feeds.
  • Daily Cash reconciliation of Chicks and Feeds and reporting to the Sales Support Representative and Accounts sales team daily.
  • Market Company products & safeguarding the Company’s Image in the Community.
  • Review cash sales against targeted sales and plan for achieving the set target or above.
  • Provision of effective and efficient support to the customers
  • Receiving complaints from Customers and forwarding the raised issues to respective staff like the Company Veterinarian, Technical Area Sales representative, and the Teleservice team.
  • Dealing with customers efficiently in a professional and cordial manner, giving them correct information about our products to enable them to make an informed decision.
  • Train and support new staff.
  • Provision of support/orientation to new staff.
  • Maintain proper and effective communication, reporting, documentation, and records system.
  • Prepare and submit daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports i.e. monthly sales and receivables.
  • Support the stock taking and inventory management processes.
  • Report immediately any shortages, losses, or any other problems to your line manager.
  • Correctly filling out paperwork including, Daily Cash Reports and Chicks Summary Reports among others and submitting this information to the Head office.
  • Responsible for all Human Resource related issues for the staff of the branch and seek support from the HR office when required.
  • Effective supervision of staff at the branch.
  • Appraise performance of staff at the branch.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Financial Responsibility
  • Petty cash management
  • Management of cash deposit and mobile money payments
