JOB DETAILS:
Norvik Enterprises Limited is looking for Shop Dispenser for their branch in Gulu. The successful candidate will closely monitor the quality, safety, and use of Orthopedic products being dispensed to clients. He / she will keep up to date with new or reformulated products.
Responsibilities:
• Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders.
• Ensure compliance with all the laws that govern product distribution and use in Uganda.
• Make a Weekly list of the VISSCO products required in the facility (shop).
• Ensure accurate dispensing of products to patients
• Explain to patients how to administer the prescribed products and counselling where necessary.
• Avail product information to patients
• Enter receipts into the system
• Advise the procurement staff on product -related issues i.e., a product that is frequently prescribed but not on shelves.
• Make a monthly stock report of products to the Supervisor
• Involvement in stock taking
• Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Prepare products and conduct quality checks
• Ensure good products storage practices.
• Answer queries about products from clients
• Ensure zero pilferage and wastage of products.
• Maintains records by recording and filing doctors' orders and prescriptions.
• Generate revenue by calculating, recording, and issuing charges.
• Prepares reports by collecting and summarizing information.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
• Academic qualifications: Diploma in Orthopedic Technology or Medicine.
• Minimum of one (1) year working experience in the same field.
• Good knowledge on pharmaceutical and orthopedic products
• Candidate should have good communication and customer care skills.
