Job Description
Reporting to the Director General, the Senior Supply Chain Management Officer will lead and oversee all procurement and supply chain functions within BRS. The role entails ensuring the effective and transparent acquisition of goods, works, and services, managing disposal processes, enforcing compliance with procurement laws and policies, and ensuring value for money. The officer will also provide guidance on contract management, supplier evaluation, and implementation of best practices in supply chain systems to support the Service’s operations and mandate.
Remuneration & Terms (Summary):
Salary Scale: Ksh. 148,950 – 229,800 per month
House Allowance: Ksh. 45,000 per month
Commuter Allowance: Ksh. 12,000 per month
Leave Allowance: One month basic salary (once yearly)
Annual Leave: 30 working days per year
Pension & Insurance: As per BRS Schemes
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

How to Apply
Coordinate the development and implementation of supply chain management policies, strategies, and procedures.
Ensure procurement and disposal processes comply with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act, 2015.
Manage the preparation of procurement plans, tender documents, and bid evaluations.
Oversee contract management, supplier evaluation, and performance monitoring.
Coordinate disposal of unserviceable, obsolete, and surplus goods.
Provide advice on supply chain risks, compliance issues, and corrective actions.
Ensure timely reporting and record-keeping for procurement activities.
Liaise with external regulators and stakeholders on supply chain matters.
Supervise, mentor, and appraise supply chain management staff.
Perform any other related duties consistent with the role.
Kenyan citizen.
Served in the grade of Supply Chain Management Officer I or equivalent for at least three (3) years.
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Procurement and Supplies Management, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Diploma in Procurement and Supplies Management or equivalent qualification (added advantage).
Certificate in a Management Course from a recognized institution.
Member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or equivalent in good standing.
Certificate in computer applications.
Demonstrated professional competence and strong performance record.
Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution (valid clearances from KRA, HELB, EACC, Police, and CRB).
