Job Description
At Samcrete Engineers and Contractors we are expanding our construction expertise into new regions, strengthening our presence and contributing to vital infrastructure and development projects.
We are #hiring the following Positions :
– Senior Site Engineer
To Join our team for an ongoing project based in Uganda.
Project Scope:
– Roads & highways
– Bridges
– Tunnels
The Senior Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing technical aspects of construction works on site, ensuring projects are executed in line with approved designs, specifications, timelines, and safety standards. The role requires strong engineering expertise, leadership, and coordination with project teams and stakeholders.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage day-to-day construction activities on site.
- Interpret engineering drawings, designs, and technical specifications.
- Ensure works are carried out according to project plans, quality standards, and contract requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor progress, prepare technical reports, and support project scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Oversee quality control, inspections, and testing of materials and works.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to site staff.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges during construction
