Senior Reservoir Engineer – Monitoring Job at Total Energies Uganda

Job Description
Apply fundamental reservoir engineering techniques (well test interpretation, production analysis, PVT interpretation, material balance, simulation) to interpret and validate acquired dynamic data.
Ensure production data is accurate and up to date by working closely with well performance and field operations engineers to support dynamic synthesis.
Coordinate activities with well performance team and develop the competencies required to be an active support from a Reservoir Engineering perspective.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate HSE leadership by consistently upholding high HSEQ standards.
- Apply fundamental reservoir engineering techniques (well test interpretation, production analysis, PVT interpretation, material balance, simulation) to interpret and validate acquired dynamic data.
- Ensure production data is accurate and up to date by working closely with well performance and field operations engineers to support dynamic synthesis.
- Coordinate activities with well performance team and develop the competencies required to be an active support from a Reservoir Engineering perspective.
- Coordinate with well performance and field operations team to ensure an adequate voidage replacement in the Tilenga project.
- Design and implement interference test campaigns in collaboration with Reservoir Engineers, ensuring proper execution and data collection to support the Voidage Replacement groups definition and Tilenga water injection strategy.
- Plan, design, execute and interpret Injection Logging Tool (ILT) campaigns for water injectors.
- Request tracer sampling as required, and keep up to date the tracer sampling database, integrate in field knowledge
- Lead the Polymer Injection Pre-Development (PIPD) and artificial tracer campaign implementation, ensuring all reservoir engineering requirements are met in collaboration with the field operations team.
- Propose, jointly develop with geoinformation and reservoir team digital solutions to streamline the reservoir monitoring and reservoir management requirements.
- Collaborate with the Geoinformation team to manage reservoir data (in T-More), including raw, processed, and interpreted data, as well as monitoring and management dashboards.
- Implement and monitor the Cap Rock Integrity plan, proposing and coordinating corrective actions with the field operations team as needed.
- Present RE-monitoring activities to Partners, Authorities, and HQ.
