Job Description
The Senior Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance functions by analyzing raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. The officer ensures adherence to safety standards, laboratory cleanliness, and quality control procedures. The role involves preparing deviation reports, reviewing protocols, assessing new technologies, writing and revising SOPs, monitoring storage conditions, conducting process validations, and maintaining quality assurance records. This position supports continuous improvement and regulatory compliance within manufacturing and laboratory environments.

How to Apply
Analyze raw materials, intermediates, standards, and finished products for compliance.
Maintain laboratory safety standards and cleanliness.
Prepare deviation reports, testing protocols, and trend analyses in technical reports.
Assess new technologies and methods and recommend their adoption.
Write and revise standard quality control operating procedures (SOPs).
Monitor storage conditions for raw materials and finished products.
Ensure performance evaluation of in-process quality controls.
Evaluate and sign off on Quality Assurance records.
Implement and oversee Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Undertake process validations and calibrations of control equipment.
Draw up equipment specifications and recommend modifications.
Prepare and submit periodic quality assurance reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Biometry, Medicine, Virology, Immunology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Applied Biology, General Biology, Animal Science, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Science, Environmental Science, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
Experience:
Minimum of four (4) years relevant work experience.
Training in Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Training in Quality Management Systems.
Supervisory course of not less than two (2) weeks.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Must fulfill requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya (Integrity and professionalism).
