Job Description
The European Committee for Training and Agriculture (CEFA) is seeking a Water Expert to manage and ensure the technical quality of WASH project components. This role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of water and sanitation infrastructure, from feasibility studies and design to handover.
The successful candidate will provide technical support for projects in both Kenya and Somalia, ensuring compliance with local legislation and international engineering standards.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- The CEFA Water Expert (WASH & Technical) will be responsible for ensuring the technical quality and proper management of the projects's water and sanitation components, contributing to strategic planning and supervising all phases, from design to infrastructure handover.
- The engineer will support WASH projects implemented in both Kenya and Somalia and he/she will support the design of new project proposals.
- The role will ensure compliance with Kenyan legislation and international standards, while promoting sustainable solutions and the integration of WASH, irrigation and agriculture.
- Prepare and supervise the Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and all technical documentation for water and sanitation rehabilitation works, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, project specifications and approved timelines.
