Job Description
This role involves providing strategic guidance on credit trends, continuously enhancing credit processes, monitoring portfolio health, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include overseeing proposal reviews, ensuring timely submissions, conducting portfolio assessments, supporting distressed accounts, and offering client-level support. The role also includes mentoring team members, enforcing AML/KYC/Shari’ah compliance, and preparing strategic reports for senior management and the board.

How to Apply
Provide expert credit advisory and sector-specific guidance.
Drive continuous improvement in credit processes and policy.
Facilitate collaboration between business units and credit teams, including joint customer visits.
Oversee timely and quality review of business credit proposals, ensuring SLA adherence.
Conduct quarterly portfolio reviews to monitor performance and early warning indicators.
Manage annual portfolio reviews, covenant tracking, and stress testing.
Monitor distressed accounts and alert on early warning signs.
Support asset pipeline evaluation to ensure viable credit onboarding.
Partner with Relationship Managers for efficient client credit disbursements and call reporting.
Deliver regular analytics on turnaround times, portfolio quality, and restructuring; prepare management and board-level reports.
Mentor and develop credit analysts, fostering performance and engagement.
Ensure operational excellence through complete and compliant credit documentation.
Enforce AML, KYC, Shari’ah, and other regulatory standards; address audit findings promptly.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; a Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Professional finance/credit qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or Credit Management are required.
7–10 years of experience in commercial banking or credit risk, with proven leadership.
Deep understanding of credit underwriting, portfolio management, and sectoral analysis.
Outstanding analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
