How to Apply
Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans.
Appraise the university resources and efficiency with which resources are allocated and utilized.
Review compliance with applicable policies, plans, procedures, laws, and regulations.
Review and assess the functioning of systems, processes, and controls in place.
Prepare and present reports that reflect the audit’s results and document the process.
Maintain open communication with management and the Audit and Risk Committee.
Document processes and prepare audit findings memoranda.
Conduct follow-up audits to monitor management’s interventions.
Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding UTAMU rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards.
Develop audit plans and perform initial and follow-up audits in accordance with professional standards.
Evaluate audit findings and prepare reports with recommendations to management in oral and written communications.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Chairperson of the Audit and Risk Committee or UTAMU Council.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA).
Postgraduate qualification (added advantage).
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in a reputable organization
